About us
OrganVoices is a duo founded in 2022 by Sophie Magnanini and Zuzanna Mika. Based in Vienna, the artists perform regularly in Austria as well as in other European countries. Their programs bring together a wide range of repertoire, with a particular focus on works for organ and soprano as well as organ duets for four hands and four feet.
Sophie Magnanini
Sophie Magnanini (Arezzo, Italy) is an organist and pianist.
She completed her concert degree studies in organ with a focus on Romantic repertoire in 2022 at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, studying with Wolfgang Capek. Prior to that, she studied piano performance (master’s degree with highest distinction) and organ performance (master’s degree with honors) at the Conservatorio di Musica “B. Maderna” in Cesena.
She further refined her pianistic training at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música in Madrid and at the International Summer Academy of the Mozarteum Salzburg.
As an organist and pianist, Sophie Magnanini has performed in numerous European countries, including Italy, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Slovakia, and Austria. Her concert venues and festivals include, among others, the 60th Organ Festival of San Vitale in Ravenna, the Quincena Musical de San Sebastián, the concert series Die Goldene Stunde at the Vienna Jesuit Church, the Summer Organ Festival at St. Augustin in Vienna, and the Festival Internacional de Órgão e Música Sacra in Porto. She has also received prizes at national and international competitions.
Since 2023, Sophie Magnanini has been organist at the Vienna Jesuit Church and at the Reformed City Church of Vienna. Since 2024, she has also been teaching piano and accompaniment at the Music School of the Municipality of Baden near Vienna.
Zuzanna Mika
Zuzanna Mika is an organist and soprano of Polish origin.
She completed her studies in church music and concert organ at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw) with Martin Haselböck, graduating with distinction. She is currently continuing her musical training in voice with Martina Steffl-Holzbauer and further perfecting her organ studies with Balázs Szabó.
During her organ studies, she received several awards, including the mdw Award of Recognition and the mdw Great Talent Award powered by Christian Zeller. She also won third prize at the Marian Sawa Organ Competition in Warsaw.
As a concert organist, she has performed on historically significant instruments, including at the Vienna Franciscan Church on the oldest organ in Vienna (Wöckherl, 1642) and at Klosterneuburg Abbey (Freundt, 1642). She has appeared at various festivals, among them Die Goldene Stunde at the Vienna Jesuit Church and the International Frédéric Chopin Festival in Gaming.
As a soprano soloist, she has performed major works such as Johann Sebastian Bach’s Magnificat, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Requiem and Vesperae solennes de confessore, Joseph Haydn’s Stabat Mater, and Camille Saint-Saëns’ Oratorio de Noël. Her notable appearances include festivals such as the Trigonale Festival in Carinthia and the Kirch’Klang Festival in Upper Austria.
Zuzanna Mika is organist at the historic Sieber organ (1714) in St. Michael’s Church in Vienna. She also teaches organ, voice, and piano and works as an accompanist at the Franz Schmidt Music School in Perchtoldsdorf.
